A re/vamped contemporary string quartet.

Comprised of professional musicians who all have decades of experience performing both classical AND contemporary music, RE/STRUNG is a contemporary string quartet that strives to re/frame how string instruments are used and thought about. Decidedly in the “classical crossover” category, RE/STRUNG’s rotating cast of musicians—2 violins + 1 viola + 1 cello—are as comfortable performing music by Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart as they are playing tunes by the Beatles, Bruno Mars, and Miley Cyrus. In fact, RE/STRUNG often switches between musical genres during performances, ensuring that listeners will always be entertained by great music.

Based in Williamsport, PA, RE/STRUNG is the brainchild of former Barrage and Cirque Dreams’ Jungle Fantasy violinist Jason Hurwitz. In addition to RE/STRUNG, Hurwitz also founded and manages Williamsport Wedding Music, Northcentral Pennsylvania's premier provider of live string ensemble music for special events including wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, dinner parties, corporate events, and more.
